Caretype (2025)

Caretype is a font inspired by degrowth and balance. It uses negative space and erasure to reflect the act of caring by working with what is already there, rather than adding. It expresses transformation and the value of small, imperfect acts. 

Its organic, asymmetrical look helps communicate care as both powerful and accessible.

Hi, I’m Charlotte Evans (she/her), a Nottingham-based designer with a Fine Art background and an MA in Graphic Communications from NTU. My practice is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach, shaped by a passion for music, culture, and socially engaged design. I’ve worked across the creative industries—on music event promotions, film festival branding, and fine art exhibitions—bringing a thoughtful and values-led perspective to every project. My recent work explores themes of sustainability, care, and feminism, reflecting my belief in design as a tool for positive change. I’m drawn to projects that keep things interesting and meaningful, and I’m especially excited by opportunities in the music or fashion industries.
